EYES OF THE MIDNIGHT SKY

Lapis lazuli has been mined from the mountains of Afghanistan for more than six thousand years. This deep blue stone is flecked with golden pyrite and rippled with white calcite, which mirror the stars and galaxies of the universe. Its dreamy colours recall the night sky stretching beyond imagination, pointing to the immeasurable grandeur of Allah's creation. Eyes of the Midnight Sky invites quiet reflection beneath the heavens, reminding us that everything that dwells within the vastness of the universe exists by Allah's will alone.

Eyes of the Midnight Sky is composed of thirty-three beads of natural, undyed grade A and grade B lapis lazuli, strung by hand on black 0.8mm braided nylon cord. Higher grade lapis lazuli is darker in colour and contains a greater quantity of golden pyrite flecks. 304 stainless steel dividers with deeply recessed, sweeping diagonal grooves then separate the beads into three groups of eleven so that every SubhanAllah, Alhamdulillah, and Allahu Akbar may be easily grouped together. We call this divider "Crescendo."

The two ends of the cord are then strung through a four-holed, metal-alloy Turkish durak bead before continuing up through one of our signature segmented imams. For every tesbih in the Horizon’s Palette Collection, we use an imam that we call the Sheikh, after the intellectual leaders of Islam. A sheikh is a lantern of wisdom, carrying the endless weight of religious knowledge while guiding hearts toward remembrance of Allah.

The Sheikh is assembled from four pieces of 304 stainless steel all working together as one to ensure structural integrity. Its decorative head rests immediately above a single ball bead that separates it from the durak while a second ball bead clings tightly to the end of its body, preventing the tassel’s knot concealer from slipping into its cylindrical interior.

The base of the Sheikh is adorned with a tepelik, or crown. Eyes of the Midnight Sky wears a single bead of lapis lazuli as its tepelik, held tightly between two spiral-patterned metal-alloy bead caps.

The tesbih concludes with a metal-alloy tassel featuring a trio of foxtail-style chains that end in diamond-shaped pendants emblazoned with Anatolian motifs. We call this tassel the "Triadic Diamonds."

Unless otherwise stated, every Küçük Bingöl Tesbih package includes a wooden presentation box, velvet pouch, jewellery cleaning cloth, unique supplication card, tesbih care card, and a resealable plastic bag containing a silica gel packet.
