THE PATHS OF SABR

Serpentine forms as water and heat transform magnesium-rich rocks deep within the earth into something entirely new. Its name cites the serpent, an animal that many instinctively fear, making it a fitting symbol of the personal struggles Allah places before each of us. The Paths of Sabr reflects the lifelong journey of overcoming the fears we were destined to endure and reminds us to seek the virtue of Sabr. Allah calls upon us to strengthen our iman through fortitude and to be patient with what He decrees—to seek Sabr and to submit our trust wholeheartedly to Allah through the endless trials of this dunya.

The Paths of Sabr is composed of thirty-three 10mm beads of AA-grade serpentine, strung by hand on black 0.8mm braided nylon cord. Surgical stainless steel dividers engraved with reptilian scales then separate the beads into three groups of eleven so that every SubhanAllah, Alhamdulillah, and Allahu Akbar may be easily grouped together. We call this divider "Splice."

The ends of the nylon cord are then strung through a four-holed, metal-alloy Turkish durak bead before continuing up through a classic 304 imam engraved with complex scales, which we call the "Grand Imam". We use this same imam for every tesbih in the Ancient Earth Collection. It rests above a single bead of stainless steel to separate it from the durak.

The base of the imam is adorned with a tepelik, or crown. The Paths of Sabr wears a single bead of serpentine as a tepelik held snugly between two flower-patterned bead caps.

The tesbih concludes with a metal-alloy tassel featuring hexagonal Anatolian motifs upon a trio of Arnavut-style chains. We call this tassel the "Triadic Lanterns."

Unless otherwise stated, every Küçük Bingöl Tesbih package includes a wooden presentation box, velvet pouch, jewellery cleaning cloth, unique supplication card, tesbih care card, and a resealable plastic bag containing a silica gel packet.
